  1. Project Coordinators (Part-Time, Paid): Job Sharing

Job Title: Project Coordinator Reports to: Board of Directors Location: Castleblayney, County Monaghan, Ireland

Job Purpose: To oversee and manage all aspects of the Digital Storytelling Project, ensuring its successful implementation, growth, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall project management and strategic planning
  • Staff and volunteer supervision and coordination
  • Budget management and financial reporting
  • Grant writing and fundraising
  • Stakeholder and partner relationship management
  • Program development and evaluation
  • Community outreach and engagement
  • Marketing and communications oversight
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, community development, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in project management, preferably in non-profit sector
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in digital technologies and storytelling concepts
  • Grant writing and fundraising experience
  • Knowledge of the local Castleblayney and County Monaghan context

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 per annum

 

  1. Technology Trainer (Part-time, Paid)

Job Title: Technology Trainer Reports to: Project Coordinator Location: Castleblayney, County Monaghan, Ireland

Job Purpose: To develop and deliver digital skills training to project participants, ensuring they acquire the necessary technical competencies for digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital skills curriculum
  • Conduct group workshops and one-on-one training sessions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support
  • Stay updated on emerging digital technologies relevant to storytelling
  • Collaborate with the Storytelling Facilitator to integrate technical skills with narrative development
  • Maintain and manage project equipment and software
  • Develop online resources and tutorials for participants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, digital media, or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in technology education or training
  • Proficiency in video editing, audio production, and web platforms
  • Strong communication and teaching skills
  • Patience and ability to work with diverse skill levels
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies for participants with different abilities

Hours: 20 hours per week Salary: €25,000 - €30,000 per annum (pro-rata)

 

  1. Storytelling Facilitator (Part-time, Paid) Job Sharing

Job Title: Storytelling Facilitator Reports to: Project Coordinator Location: Castleblayney, County Monaghan, Ireland

Job Purpose: To guide participants in developing compelling personal narratives and translating them into engaging digital stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead workshops on storytelling techniques and narrative development
  • Provide one-on-one coaching to participants throughout the story creation process
  • Collaborate with the Technology Trainer to integrate narrative elements with digital tools
  • Ensure ethical storytelling practices are followed
  • Organize and facilitate story sharing sessions and community events
  • Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation
  • Assist in evaluating the impact of storytelling on participants and the community

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in creative writing, journalism, or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in storytelling, writing instruction, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of narrative structures and storytelling techniques
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences
  • Familiarity with digital storytelling concepts and platforms
  • Knowledge of local Monaghan history and cultural context

  1. Community Liaison (Part-time, Paid)

Job Title: Community Liaison Reports to: Project Coordinator Location: Castleblayney, County Monaghan, Ireland

Job Purpose: To build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, organizations, and stakeholders, ensuring broad participation and support for the Digital Storytelling Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies
  • Recruit project participants from diverse backgrounds
  • Organize community events and story sharing sessions
  • Facilitate partnerships with local schools, libraries, and cultural institutions
  • Assist in identifying local funding opportunities and sponsorships
  • Contribute to the project's marketing and outreach efforts
  • Gather community feedback and report on project impact
  • Support volunteer recruitment and management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in community development, social work, or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in community outreach or similar roles
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of the local Castleblayney and County Monaghan community landscape
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in event planning and volunteer management

Hours: 25 hours per week Salary: €28,000 - €32,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Job Purpose: To manage the project's volunteer program, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers to support the Digital Storytelling Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies
  • Screen and onboard new volunteers
  • Organize volunteer training sessions and ongoing support
  • Match volunteer skills and interests with project needs
  • Maintain volunteer database and scheduling system
  • Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions
  • Assist in developing volunteer policies and procedures
  • Report on volunteer impact and contributions to the project

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and people management skills
  • Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management preferred

Job Purpose: To provide one-on-one technical support to project participants, enhancing their digital skills and confidence in using storytelling tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with basic computer skills and software usage
  • Provide hands-on support during digital storytelling workshops

  • Offer patience and encouragement to participants learning new skills
  • Report participant progress and challenges to the Technology Trainer
  • Assist in maintaining and setting up technical equipment

Job Purpose: To assist in planning and executing community events, story sharing sessions, and project showcases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and organize project events and workshops
  • Assist with venue setup and teardown
  • Coordinate event logistics (e.g., refreshments, equipment)
  • Greet and register event attendees
  • Provide on-site support during events
  • Collect feedback from event participants
  • Assist in promoting events through various channels

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in event planning or coordination preferred
